＞３月１６日、安倍晋三首相らが有識者と意見交換する「国際金融経済分析会合」を初めて開いた。講師に招いたノーベル経済学賞受賞者で米コロンビア大学のジョセフ・スティグリッツ教授は、環太平洋連携協定（ＴＰＰ）について、米国での効果はほとんどなく、米国議会で批准されないとの見方を示した。
＞ スティグリッツ氏は会合で、世界経済についての自身の見解をまとめた資料を配布。その中で、ＴＰＰについて「ＴＰＰは悪い貿易協定だというコンセンサスが広がりつつあり、米国議会で批准されないだろう」との見方を示した。
